Joint Critical Infrastructure Protection Program Funding for InfraGard Chapters--TIME SENSITIVE

Through the efforts of InfraGard National, the Joint Critical Infrastructure Partnership (JCIP) is providing up to $2,750 per InfraGard Chapter for community outreach activities. To apply for the funding, an IMA must complete this JCIP Application form. INMA has also provided this sample Application form. The Application form is couched as a “Booth and Presentation” opportunity, which means that the IMA will need to give some thought to the completion of the Application form, which is a bit confusing. The deadline for submitting the Application is March 18, 2011. ISELAMA Members interested in taking the lead for the Chapter on applying for the JCIP funds and driving the resulting activities should complete the Application Form and send it to Dennis Kelly, Chapter President, at dkelly@mba1974.hbs.edu, no later than March 11, 2011.

Election of ISELAMA Officers

The ISELAMA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the following persons have been elected to the following positions:

The Board wishes to express its sincere appreciation to all members offering to serve the Chapter during the nominating process, and especially wishes to express its appreciation to the persons elected to serve.  In addition, the Board wishes to express its sincere appreciation for the work of the Nominating Committee, chaired by Chief Richard Bordner and whose members are Lt. Eric Acosta, MSGT Ron Mays, and Jay Smith.

New Chapter Communication Procedure

This month inaugurates the new communication process for our chapter.  Instead of deluging members with email, all announcements and activities will be posted on this website instead of sent by email.  Note the link to the right -- you can subscribe to this page so that any new announcements posted will be sent to you via email.   Reminders and alerts will be sent via Twitter and eventually listed on Facebook.

The reasons for doing this have to do with the impossibility of accurately maintaining the FBI Infragard Listserv and the lack of control the officers and board have over the listserver.  This decision was not made lightly, but was made for numerous reasons that emerged over the last two years and could not be resolved.  We realize the change in procedure will require time to grow accustomed to.

ISELAMA members will only recieve one email per month with subject line "ISELAMA Monthly Verification Email" which will direct you to this website and to Twitter for news and updates.

This website is a "blog" and everyone has the ability to post comments, requests, questions on the various pages.

On this website are pages for each of the SIGs.  If you are a SIG leader you are invited to post your own announcements on your SIG page.   Most SIGs maintain their own mailing list and this new procedure DOES NOT APPLY to SIG communications among their own members.

This procedure is new, but one of the advantages is that it allows members to be more interactive with others between meetings.  Please keep in mind that this website is on the Internet,  and that no sensitive information should be posted to it.
